Jo-Beth visits Home Island and learns about Malay Culture and the unique history of the Oceania House.

• The Home Island Cultural Tour offers a variety of activities and experiences.
• It includes a tour of Oceania House and the surrounding gardens, as well as demonstrations of basket weaving and coconut husking. The tour also features a traditional Cocos Malay lunch.
• Visitors can explore the Home Island Museum, which showcases the history of Cocos and its people and religion, and visit the mosque at Pulu Maria.
• They can also observe traditional carvings and Jukong building and witness the excitement of Jukong Racing.
• The community comes together during celebrations and weddings, with preparations ranging from cooking to setup.
• Visitors can witness this sense of community during any/all celebrations. Additionally, traditional fishing methods such as netting and spearing are demonstrated.
